Manager Due Diligence
Meridian targets investment strategies and managers that are most attractive on a risk/reward basis and seek to identify those that are coming into investment favor as macroeconomic conditions shift. Once identified, we then conduct thorough and disciplined due diligence which includes but is not limited to:
- Performance versus market benchmarks and manager peer group
- The manager's investment philosophy/processes
- Return and volatility vectors under normal/stressed scenarios to quantify alpha and beta exposures
- Personal and professional integrity of management
- Operations infrastructure and documentation review
- Risks embedded in a particular strategy and how those risks are managed
